Canceling the Internet
Connection Wizard process
If during downloading
Preferences the user cancels the Choose Modem message, the whole
Internet Connection Wizard process is canceled. The user is then asked
to manually configure his system. To remedy, the user must download the
INS file a second time and select a modem to continue installation.

Installation is blocked or cannot begin
OOIDA ISP cannot be
installed if the user has certain Security and Advanced settings within
the browser set to Disabled. In particular, installation cannot
begin when the user has Active X Controls security settings set
to Disable downloading, running, and scripting of signed Active X
Controls and File Download set to Disabled. These settings
must be changed to Enabled before attempting another
installation.

Other issues with
canceling the Internet Connection Wizard process
After downloading the .ins
file, an ICW dialog appears asking the user if they wish to change their
internet settings. The user has a choice of selecting OK or Cancel,
though clicking Cancel commits the settings and OOIDA ISP appears
anyway. The end result is a partially configured system.
