Internet Explorer Crashes when attempting to open browser

This is caused by a DUN connectoid with no name that is set as the default connectoid. This can occur on rare occasions if the user has crashed unexpectedly during registration.

To remedy the problem, the following steps should be taken:

  1. Open Dialup Networking folder and search for connectoid with empty name

  2. Delete empty named connectoid

  3. Open Internet Options control panel and go to Connections tab.

  4. Set "Never Dial a Connection" and hit OK

  5. Reboot System

Security warning when users have not installed the "Root Certificates Update"

Users with IE 5.0 who have not installed the "Root Certificates Update" from Microsoft may receive a security warning when downloading CABs/ According to Verisign, this is not a true security issue. When the warning appears during cab download, click "Yes" in the Security Warning dialog to allow the download to continue. No further problems will arise.
