Setting up OS 8.x and OS 9.x |
| To setup or begin a connection click the Apple.
Click Control Panel.
click on the Internet panel.
At the top of the screen, click on File and then New Set
Enter OOIDA ISP and click Save.
Enter all the information needed here then proceed
to the E-Mail tab. In the email address field enter in your
email address: example: username@ooidaisp.com The User Account ID will be your username. The incoming mail server is pop.ooidaisp.com. Enter in your password. The outgoing mail server is smtp.ooidaisp.com. Click the Web tab.
Fill in the information here and close the Window
You will be prompted to save the changes.
Click Save Next, click on the Apple, select Control Panel, and then TCP/IP. Make sure that "Connect via" is set to PPP. Where it says "Name server addr" enter in the following DNS numbers: 65.116.40.10 and 65.116.40.254 and close the box.
Click Save
Click on the Apple, then select the Control Panel and then Remote Access. This will open the Remote Access connection box. Make sure the Name is in as the full email address. Enter the password and the local access number. (NOTE: Please verify with your local phone company that the number you are dialing will be a local call for you. PowerNet Global is not responsible for any long distance charges you occur using the OOIDA ISP service) Click the Connect button to connect to the Internet
